NOR Nightstand
Designed for the NOR and St. Lucia Collections
The Paloma Bed centers on its taller headboard with hand-carved doves and foliage. Paloma, Spanish for dove, gives the collection its name. Its character is influenced by the late 1930s and early 1940s, when modernism intersected with the final years of the Arts and Crafts movement and the elegant geometry associated with Art Deco. The bed is made in solid oak, combining the discipline of hand carving with modern manufacturing to achieve consistency and refinement while respecting the craft traditions that shaped it.

The NOR Bed is built in solid oak with carved biomorphic forms across its headboard and footboard. The carved openings are layered and overlapping, creating a shifting sense of depth as they catch light from different angles. The frame is made in solid oak with a minimal construction that reflects the values of the Arts and Crafts movement. The carving draws from the organic explorations of late Art Nouveau and the biomorphic modernism of the 1930s and 1940s. Offered with either a high or low footboard, NOR, meaning “cloud” in Romanian, carries the collection’s focus on material, form, and early modernist influence.
