The St. Lucia Bed draws from the spirit of long-ago travel—when the unknown held beauty, and elegance was instinctual. Named after the island but inspired by something deeper, it evokes a quiet sense of romance and adventure—grounded in form and elevated by detail.
Carved in kiln-dried solid oak, the headboard features a hand-sculpted medallion—an abstract symbol of the heart—framed by woven rattan panels set within oak. The design is a softened counterpart to the NOR Bed, made for those who dream in detail and seek beauty in strength. Offered in both high and low footboard versions, it balances enclosure with openness.
The carved medallion, frame, and full structure are made from kiln-dried solid oak. The woven cane rattan is stretched into inset oak panels, delicately framed and tensioned for long-term strength. The flat footboard panels are crafted from commercial-grade plywood—not for cost, but to prevent bowing or splitting over time.
A solid oak center support rail and three oak legs ensure structure. Sixteen solid mahogany slats (2” wide, spaced 2.9” apart) are fully removable and rated to support up to 1,000 lbs—making the bed fully compatible with adjustable split king and queen bases.
The headboard ships in two vertical sections for easier movement through staircases and high-rise entries. The side rails bolt securely to the headboard and footboard to ensure a squared, stable fit that holds for years to come.
Finished in our low-sheen Modern Oak lacquer, the St. Lucia Bed merges sculptural structure with softness. It pairs naturally with both NOR and St. Lucia nightstands and dressers, connected by material, tone, and a shared design language. A quiet escape, built to endure.
